One of the things I like best about taking photographs -- and the reason I know I'm doing the right thing, even if my photos aren't always technically correct -- is that after taking a photograph such as this, the voice in my head says, "Were you just layin' on your belly in the middle of the street? OMG, you were! You were layin' down right there in the middle of a dirty ol' street!!"
I kinda lose myself in the moment. I don't have a thought for my clothes or how ridiculous I might look doin' what I'm doin'. It's kind of exhilarating.
I'm on pins and needles awaiting delivery of the prints for this order -- it never gets old!
(I fell in love with this spot the minute I drove up and just had to shoot there! Just for the record, I asked the parents permission before dragging their kids out into the street and setting them down at the end of it.)

laughing because i was laying down in the middle of the street during a session this morning. you do what you have to for the shot, right?
