It's wet here.  It gets worse the further south you go.  People had difficulty getting home to their kids last night, or getting to work this morning.  Three-day weekends are nice, but hard for many when one of them is unplanned and unpaid.  There are chances for rain yet through the weekend, then I'm hopeful that the sunshine they're showing in next week's forecast is for real.

Both Maddy and my mom attended Barack Obama's Town Hall Meeting yesterday.  The sister of Maddy's friend had the opportunity to ask a question (and so then they were all, apparently, on the news footage, but not the station I saw).  Maddy won't be old enough to vote in this election, but I'm thrilled that she -- and so many her age -- are paying attention and are interested.

There's hope.  Happy weekend!

I'm blushing at some of the questions - and my answers. It's very sunny and breezy here but friends of mine on their way to Wisc. are held back due to numerous road and bridge wash-outs! Yikes - hope your weekend drys things up a bit!

I'm so glad that I don't have to answer that group of questions!! My mom, brother and sister in law were also at the Obama rally yesterday. We sure seem to have a fine candidate for the party. The flooding footage is surreal--I hope the rain ends soon. My brother in law is a federal wildlife manager near Baraboo and he has been working round the clock these days. Here's to sunny skies.

Take care, Vicki. I'd been trying to figure out if I knew anyone affected by the flooding. Water is scarey stuff when there's that much of it.

We're mainly cooler than normal with less sun. We just set an all-time record for coldest June. But not wettest.

Maybe we should have our presidential candidates answer this meme;)

Happy weekend!
