Randomly, "F" is for...
Fabulous Foliage and Fish -- more from Olbrich Gardens.
Patient Friends and Family. Wish I could be better at both right now. I'm anxious to settle in, get more comfortable with everything that's new and has changed. I need a routine. All in good time. It's a Funky time. I fear I may be entering a period of Blog Fog. I love my blog and that makes me sad. It has been part of my routine for over three years. But I hate just nattering on for the sake of posting.
Looking to the Future...
Today is my second day of school. A few have wondered what I'm studying. Well, on the first day of school, I had a class called Technical Writing for Global Communication and today it will be Technical Editing, Proofreading. Sensing a pattern already? The third class, Portfolio Development, doesn't begin until October. They are all the tip of the Associate Degree iceberg in a Technical Communication Program. If ever there was a program made for me, I think this might be it. I have worked, in various capacities, in many of the areas covered including proofreading of technical documents intended for a King's English audience. What will I do with this iceberg? I'm not exactly sure, but it's wide open as far as career and jobs -- every field has a need to communicate -- and that's one of the things I love...
A wide open field.
Thank you for reading and hanging in there and for all of your encouragement and support and love.

I've been missing you! Hope you're having FUN too!

That program sounds perfect for you. I'm so proud of you, Vicki.

You and Cara...so cryptic lately...good thoughts coming your way. Change is hard but it is usually worth the battle to get through it. xoxo

"F" is for fabulous and fantastic and friggin' wonderful (well, that last is a stretch, but you get my drift). You keep it up.
I'm feeling the same, kids off to wherever and me at home. I feel that little bit of anxiety around 4 when they are usually coming in with the stories of the day and their noise and mess, and then realize that they aren't coming. The house feels lonely.
Remember when we used to indent paragraphs? Those were the days!

My degree's in Tech Writing and Editing and I'm a tech writer. I love the job I have right now - I'm the only writer so I get to make the rules!

You'll be surprised how as time goes on popping in to leave a post most days will feel good & be something you need. They don't all need to be clever - they don't all need to have pictures.
School sounds fantastic!

When you are ready, I have an uncle who owns his own technical writing business in the Milwaukee area. He works out of his home and I know he has others working out of theirs for him. Maybe he can hook you up!

The ability to post waxes and wanes with one's activities. The settling in, unfortunately takes time. I spent most of my masters degree years (three) feeling like a fish out of water and anxious to finish, finish, finish. Finish I did, and much the better for the anxious years in between. Good luck and have fun!

Hey Vicki - don't make "This" a job or responsibility. It's supposed to be something fun or just for you .. when you have time, something to share, say or show. At least that's how I look at it. Have fun at school tonight!

You should always do what you love or it is kind of pointless. Glad that you have picked something that excites you.
The pictures are gorgeous!

I think you're just a bit overwhelmed right now but you can do this. The blogging will take care of itself when you need it. Don't worry about us. We'll be here waiting patiently. :-)

Is it still raining? Lots of rain brings spirits down and with your new aim in life, you sound a bit overwhelmed with it all.
We'll still be here :-)

this may be a really dumb question but ...are you taking this full time or part time?? In either case, it is quite normal to feel a bit scattered..life is full of choices and you have made a great one that obviously fits you to a "t"!
Knit on,...and enjoy it all..don't feel pressure from your blog..I look forward to your entries no matter how often!!

That sounds like a wonderful program. And very similar to what I do for my current job with a newspaper organization. Good for you!
I hope you'll keep blogging. I enjoy reading your entries. As well as seeing your projects. I would miss you.

I can't imagine a better Field for You. And how is it that you take such amazing fotos??? Or are they Found? In which case, that is just Fine too.

Technical communication sounds PERFECT for you. Hey, it sounds perfect for me. Maybe I better look into that. Sounds like something I have been doing for years. Take your time and come back to us when you can. It'll all pay off.

Please don't think that popping in to say hello is pointless. I love checking in to see how you are and what you are up to, knitting or otherwise. It would leave a big hole in my day if you were to stop completely.
