I've drawn a lot of inspiration from the women in my life, particularly my grandmothers -- women of talent and varied creative interests. I am truly amazed and inspired by the breadth of talent around me and I've been exposed to many different types of art and craft -- it's no surprise to me that I always have to have some type of hand work in progress!
I started writing this as a knitting blog in 2004 when my interest in knitting was rekindled, and I think I do still blog mostly about knitting, but I also blog about my life, family, kids, what's for dinner, and what's on my mind.
I knit in the Scottish style, anchoring the right needle (usually a nice, l-o-n-g one) against my body; I often use a knitting belt when using DPNs. Circular needles are definitely not my favorite.
