I started blogging in March of 2004. A couple of weeks earlier, I'd "Googled" something knitting-related and among the sites returned were the blogs of Bonne Marie Burns (ChicKnits) and Wendy Johnson (Wendy Knits). At the time, I had a vague awareness of blogging, but theirs were the first blogs I'd ever come across -- and they were FASCINATING. I used Bonne Marie's links page as a starting point for several days, getting lost in the black hole that is the blogosphere, following link after link, enthralled and enchanted. It wasn't long before I tired of having my nose pressed to the glass.

I've drawn a lot of inspiration from my grandmothers -- women of talent and varied creative interests. I am truly amazed and inspired by the breadth of talent around me and have been exposed to many different types of art and craft -- it's no wonder that I always have some type of hand work in progress!

I started this blog as a knitting blog, and I do blog mostly about knitting, but I also blog about my life, family and kids, what's on my mind. I hope you like it.
